Stuff it, roll it, bounce it, throw it! TM
The Havaball® can be stuffed with virtually any food or treat. We recommended introducing the Havaball® before a regular feeding time, and start off with small treats or pieces of food that are easily dispensed. This beginner's method will encourage further Havaball® play. As your pet masters the Havaball®, you can gradually add larger pieces of food or treats to challenge your pet and prolong playtimes. Add variety to your pet's playtime by stuffing the Havaball® with several types of food and treats or experiment with different healthy recipes. Use your imagination and most importantly - have fun!
Recommendations:
A Havaball food dispenser filled with Chicken, Lamb, Liver work well for beginners and
lasts about 1/2 hour, whereas the same amount of food is consumed within thirty seconds to three minutes when the food is freely available in a bowl.
You can make it more challenging by sealing the openings of the Havaball® with soft pet foods, peanut butter, or soft cheese.
Use any type of food, chicken, lamb, turkey and even dried liver. Larger pieces can be broken into smaller pieces before stuffing into the Havaball®.
Stuff with sliced fresh veggies or fruit.
Puree or mash a combination of fruits or veggies. Experiment with adding water, natural fruit juice, vegetable juice, or yogurt. Try filling the Havaball® and freezing it. To freeze the Havaball®, first spread peanut butter over the small opening, and then insert food mixture through the large cross-shaped opening. Place Havaball® in a bowl and freeze.
Blend a salt-free meat broth with pieces of beef, chicken, fish, lamb, hot dogs, veggies; pet food kibbles, rice, or pasta. Freeze as directed above.
Fill Havaball® with soft foods or spread the food in between the Denta-ridges TM. Try peanut butter, minced chicken, soft pet foods, cooked pasta, tuna, mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs, or soft cheeses.
Some recipes can be messy and should be used out doors.
